City of Richmond, Indiana,
Thursday February 21st, 1929.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday February
21st, 1929, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
Various complaints referred to the Board at last council meeting
were referred to Street Commissioner for investigation.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons interested
or whose property is affected under Declaratory Resolution No.
229-1929, for the vacation of that part of Center Street lying
east of Northwest 2nd Street . No one objecting and no remonstrance
having been filed, the Board confirmed said resolution, and now
direct that a list or roll prepared of all property owners and of
valuable interests therein sought to be taken, which list or roll
shall also describe the property injuriously affected.
The Board authorized the Sup 't . , of Parks to plant trees aroudd
the Beallview Park, also, to have resident in Glen Miller Park
papered. •
The Board received bids, for furnishing 25, 000 gallons more or
less of " Tar" applied on the Streets of the City, during the
season of 1929, as follows, to-wit :
" Ray K. Chalfant, bid :
Tar applied on streets @ .14. 1/3 per gal.
Tar o. O. cars @ -- . 10/9/ n u
" Hayes Construction Company, bid :
Ter applied on streets 69 - . 15. 20 gel. less 2% dis .
" L. P. Ca.vett . Co. , bid;
Tar laid on the streets . 160 per gallon.
The Board referred all bids to City Enrineer for investi-
gation and report .
Claims in amount of ' l6, 105.3o were allowed.
