HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 1148 CHAPTER 1 ARTICLE 4 Sec. 4-13: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths (3/4) of the corporate authorities of the Village of Plainfield, it is na longer necessary or useful or in the best interests of the Village of Plainfield to retain certain items of personal property that have accumulated in the Village of Plainfield; WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, when in the opinion of three-fourths (3/4) of the corporate authorities then holding office, it is found that certain personal property is no longer necessary, useful to or for the best interests of Village such a majority of the corporate authorities then holding office may by ordinance, authorize the sale of personal property in such manner as they may designate with ar without advertising the sale; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF-TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, TLLZNOIS AS FOLLOWS: Sec. 4-13-1: Pursuant to Sec. 11-76--4, Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield hereby find that the personal property described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is no longer necessary or useful, to the Village and that the best interests of the Village will be served by its sale by offering said items. far sale to purchasers pursuant ta. the Board's direction and upon such further terms and conditions as determined by the Village Administrator and Chief of Police. Sec. 4-13-2: The Village President is hereby authorized and directed to execute all documents necessary for the sale of any of the above items of personal property. Sec. 4-13-3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage by at least three-fourths (3/4) of the corporate authorities and approved in the manner provided by law and shall be known as No. 1148 Passed this / da of January 1987. Serial # 13448. 2 10' hard suction hoses with strainer all in need of much repair, has not run in the last 6 or 7 years.
