Thursday February 7th, 1929.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office. of said Board Thursday February 7th,
1929, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, McFe.il and Henley .Qeing present ;
Mr. Reid Absent, Two members of said Board_ being present. The fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Boara met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose property
is nrimerily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 872-1928, •
for the improvement of South 5th Street, by constructing cement side-
walks 5 ' wide, cement curb & gutter on both sides of -street ; also
grading roadway where necessary; and necessary drainage; also cinder-
gravel roadway 18 feet in width the full length thereof, from South
"H" to "N" Street, A remonstrance against the amount of the assess-
• ment signed by D. E. DeHaven & 14- other resident property owners was
filed, stating the work was not completed according the specificatior
of the contract . after some discussion on this question the property
_ . r;;t� were informed that it was not :Caw to the contractor to hold up the
G°'' assessments on account of a very few minor things which should and
would be done as soon as the weather permits, with this assurance
the remonstrators present seemed to be satisfied, and on motion the
Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the primary assess-
ment roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forth-
with transmitted to the Department of Finance.
The Board approved a plat to be known as -Ellemans, Sub-Div. , of Lbts
1 & 2, in the Davis Addition, at Northwest 8th Street and the Peacoc'2
Road, consisting of lots 1 to 3 both inclusive.
Claims in amount of $2500. 64 were allowed.
