The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of the Board of Public Works of said City, Thursday January 31st, 1929, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, McFail and Henley, Absent, Mr, Reid; Two mecibers of said Board being pres- ent, -the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons interested Or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 3-192 for the improvement of West Avenue, by constructing 5 ' cement side- wa.1ks, curb & gutters, planting trees on both sides of street , and paving the roadway with one of the following kinds of modern city pavements, to-wit : Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt , Reinforced Concrete or Bituminous Macadam, from National Road to the south line of City School property, after hearing all persons interested and carefully considering a remonstrance filed against said improvements, the Board referred the remonstrance to city engineer for investigation and report, and continued hearing on said resolution to Monday February th, 1929. The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by -the improvement of Fort Wayne Avenue, by widening the roadway by setting back the cement curbs and paving the roadway be- tween the present pavement and the new gutter on both sides thereof with either Reinforced Concrete, Sheet Asphalt , Rock Asphalt or Bitt.- minous Macadam, from let alley north of Main Street to North " C" Street, after hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board continued hearing under said Improvement Resolution No. 00 '-1929, to labncaa4 February llth, 1929. The Board unanimously adopted improvement Resolution No. 02-1929, to improve South " I" Street, by constructing cement sidewalks 5 ' C .& G. plantin trees, necessary drainage structures, from South 5th to 8th btreet, resurfacing roadway 6th to 8t h, with bituminous mixed macadam 2" '•penetrated stone over present foundation; grading & paving with a bituminous mixed macadam surface on cinder-gravel foundation from South 5th to 6th Street . The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 851-1929 , to improve North 22nd Street, by constructing, cement curb & gutter from Main to North "E" Street.
