The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond,. Indiana., met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday January 7th
1929, at 9 o&clock A.M. 411 the members of said Board, Messrs,
R@id, McFall and Henley being present . The -following proceedings
were had, to-wit : The minutes of -the preceeding; meeting were ap- .
Proved as read.
The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution, for the im-
provement of the streets, alleys and public places in Ravinia Park
First Addition to City of Richmond, Indiana, by grading & paving
said streets with one of the four types of modern city pavements,
Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt, Bituminous Re-tread or Bituminous
Macadam, and by constructing of cement sidewalks & gutters, sewers
• and erection of a system of street lights & posts and by making
private connections with sewers, water and other like conveniences
and brining said connections inside the curb lines at each lot,
where the same has not already been done, as follows to-wit :

Grading & Paving complete with sheet asphalt on 6"con.$46, 541.85

" Bituminous retread " 44, 242. 90

Hayes Construction Co. , bid;
Grading & Paving complete with either, Rock Asphalt,Bituminous
retread, or Bituminous macadam complete on 6" con, base $45, 30.90
Sewers & Structures, comrplete------ 13 , 164. 70
Ornamental Lights, complete 3, 300.00
Walks & Curbs, complete 2, 650. +5
Water taps to lot lines, complete 1, 808.08
The Board not designate said streets be -improved by grading and
paving roadways with Bituminous Retread on a 6" concrete base.
The bid of W. . L. Magaw, for complete improvement using bitumious •
retread pavement being $63,137. 15, and being the lowest & best bid
received and being within the estimate of the city civil engineer
the contract on motion of Mr. Henley was awarded to W. L . Magaw,
for said improvements using bituminous retread paving on a 6"
concrete base.
