M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : - The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under _ Improvement Resolution No. 849-1928, for the Clear Creek Trunk & 111 Lateral Sewer System. The Board accepted the same and approved. a primary assessment roll therefor, at a total cost of $108, 295.15, as follows, viz: Direct Assessment ip87, 643.07; Indirect Assessment 1632. 61; States Share of cost $473 28; City 's cost $1121.30; House connections $13 165.¢9; Direct Assessment 00.0112 sq-ft .lot ; Indirect asmt . $0.00046585 sq-ft . House connections 730 lin-ft . The following report was ordered by the Mayor to be made a part of the record of this meeting as follows, viz : September 26th, 1928 Mayor L.A.Handley - Richmond, Indiana. Honorable Sir:- Your citizens advisory:- committee, on the Municip- al Electric Light Plant , in session as of Sep. 24th, approved and unanimously passed the following recommendation: viz : That the Salary of the Superintendent of the Municipal Electric Light Plant , Mr. Dan C. Hess, be made (? 8000.00) per year. that the Budget committee be instructed to place this amount in the 1929 budget and said salary be operative at the beginning of the next fiscal year. Your committee, during the past six years of its identity, has experienced a splendid satisfaction in the observation of the growth and prosperity of the institution. Outstanding, . as com- pared with other plants today, in point of service, low consum- er rate, economy in operation, low switch-board production cost_ and ultimately showing a net profit of (1/4) million of dollars from an unincumbered investment of (3-1/2) millions of dollars.
