ARTICLE 8: VARIATIONS TO ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 674', GRANTED BY
ACTION. OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD BOARD OF
TRUSTEES
Sec. 8-20: Variation of Minimum Side Yard Requirements for 2~.1

WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly advertised and held
on the proposed variatian to the minimum side yard requirements of
Chapter 8, Article 6-25 of said Village of Plainfield as
hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, .the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of
Plainfield has heretofore filed a report of its acts and doings in
the premises and its recommendations that the. petition requesting
a variance for the real estate hereinafter described from the
minimum side yard requirements under said Chapter 8, Article 6,
Sections. 6--1 through 6-35, entitled "An Ordinance Requiring
Permits for Buildings, Structures, and Uses, Dividing the Village
into Districts, Specifying Minimum Lot Sizes, Set Backs, and Side
Yards, Regulating the Bu].k of Buildings, Providing for Appeals and
Imposing Penalties", be granted, and
WHEREAS, we believe that. the minimum side yard
requirements of said chapter 8, Article 6, Section 6-25 place an
undue hardship upon the owner of said real estate, and
WHEREAS, no written objections to the granting of said
variance for said premises were filed and no one appeared in
person to object to the granting of said variance ~'or said real
estate, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the president and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Plainfield that the petition requesting
a variance from the minimum side yard requirements of said Chapter
8, Article 6, Section 6-25 far the real estate hereinafter
described should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DRDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLATNFIELD, WILL COUNTY,
ZLLINOSS, as follows:
Sec. 8-20-1: Territory Described. That the following tract of
land, to-wit:
Lot 7.6, and also, that part of Lots
8 and 9, and the vacated alley
running in a, Northwesterly-
Southeasterly direction between Lots

8 and 9 and 16, in H. H. Evan's
Subdivision of the South part of Lot
7 of Bolton's Subdivision of part of
the Southwest 1/4 of Section 10,
Township 35 North, Range 9, East of
the Third Principal Meridian,
according to the Plat thereof
recorded as Document No. 140731,
lying West of the Northerly
projection of the West lot line of
Lot 15 in said H. H. Evan's
Subdivision, to the Northwesterly
lot line of Lot 8 aforesaid, all in
Wi11 County, Illinois.
Commonly known as: 211 Evans Street
Plainfield, Illinois
which said tract of land is now subject to the minimum side yard
requirements as established in Section 5-25 of said Chapter 8,
Article 6, of the Village of Plainfield, be and the same is hereby
exempt from the requirement that the minimum side yard for any
building or structure on such lot shall be ].0 feet and the same is
hereby granted a variance of said minimum side yard and is hereby
permitted instead a minimum side yard of 6 feet from the west
property line.
Sec. 8-20-2: If Part Invalid. The invalidity of any part or
section hereof shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof.
Sec. 8-20-3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as provided
by law.
This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No.
1137
