Thursday December 20th, 192�8.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
December 20th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of
said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present.
The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
In matter of request for an arc light at South 15th & "F" Sts.
upon the recommendation of Mr. D. C. Hess, Sup 't . , of Light
Plant , the board decide there is no necessity for a light at
this corner at present.
In matter of request from Mr. Schiagle, that cinders be placed
in the alley between Ridge & Ratliff- Streets north of School
Street, the clerk was directed to notify M . Schlagle, the city .
did not place cinders in alleys.
Upon motion the Board unanimously rescinded Declaratory Resolut-
ion No. 224-1928, for widening South"A" Street on north side of •
street, from South 9th Street to the alley east between South
9th & 10th Street .
The City Civil Engineer, reported the completion of contract .
under Improvement Resolution No. 848-1928, for Clear Creek
Outfall Sewer and Pumping Station, from Clear Creek on south
side of National Road south and east to Whitewa.ter River, at
the cost of $60, 693. 70-, for sewer and pulps and pumping station.
The Board accepted the same. , and now direct the Department of
Finance to render to the. Trustees of the Richmond State Hospital
heistatement of the cost of said above work together with the
cost of right-of-:gays, engineering costs, and lateral, in the
amount of 26,062.33 the proportionate share of said costs,
to be paid the City by the State of Indiana, as per agreement,
entered into by the State of Indiana, signed by. said Trustees
and the Governor and Attorney-General of State of Indiana, on
April 9th, 1928, with a request for payment .
Sup 't. , D, C ,Hess, presented report on the cost of installing
the new 10 '000 KW.turbo generator at Light Plant , to be 235, •
712. 23 or 039, 287.77 less than originally estimated.
The Clerk was directed to notify The T.H. I .& E. Traction Co. ,
toa repare to move their tracks to the center of the National
Road, from West llth Street to west corporate limits.
Claims in amount of $5254. 58 were allowed.
The Clerk was directed to notify Ida. P. Nicholson, to dis-con-
neat sewer at her property 1204 South 5th Street, which is
running waste water onto South 5th Street .
The Boara then adjourned,
