City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday December 3rd, 1928.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday December 3rd,
1928, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, Reid and Henley present, Absent,
Mr. McFail. Two members of said Board being present. The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
Pursuant to continuance to this date. The Board discuss the matter of
11/ claim in amount of $287.08, filed by J.L. Teegarden Co. , against City
for damages purporting to have been sustained by him, in making of
cement curb & gutter & sidewalks in School Street, under Improve-
ment Resolution No. 856-1928, caused by E. A. Mariani & Co. , in
construction of sewer along said school Street, under Improvement
Resolution No. 860-1928. After some discussion by the Board and
said contractors, The Board decide that they would not annrove the
final assessment rolls under said resolution number 856 & 860-1928,
until this claim was settled by said contractors.
A petition to vacate part of alley west of South 7th Street, begin-
ning at north line of South "J" Street and extending north to the
north line of LotNo, 7, in Anna M. Klocker ' s Sub-Div, signed by
The Land-Dilks Company, by Walker E. Land, President , referred to '
Engineer for plans etc. ,
A dedication of a 16 foot strip of ground across the entire north
side of Lot No. 7, A.M.Klocker 's Sub-Div. , to be used as an alley
together with agreement to pave said alley with concrete at their
own expense, if said above alley petitioned for be vacated, signed
by Walker E. Land, Prest. of Land-Dilks Company.
The sum of $692.07, amount retained under Improvement Resolution No.
833-1927, for improvement of South 22nd Street, from South "B" St .
to Reeveston Road, was ordered paid to W. L. Magaw, contractor.
The Clerk was instructed to notify Joseph Hill, to place proper drain
under driveway at his property east of East Haven Avenue on north
side of Peacock Road.
The Board approved the various payrolls to December let, 1928.
The Board then adjourned,
