City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday November 26th, 1928.
The Board of Public 'Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met -
in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday November
26th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley, being present. The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed under Declaratory Resolution No.226-1928, for the vaca-
tion of 14 foot strip off west side of alley between South 8th
& 9th Street, from South "M" to "N" Street. No one remonstrating 111 .
the Board approved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages
confirming the primary roll as heretofore approved, and now
direct the same be . forthwith transmitted to the Department of
Finance. And said part of alley is hereby declared vacated.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed under Improvement -Resolution No. 856-1928, providing for
the improvement of School Street, by grading, and constructing
cement sidewalks, C.& G. & planting trees do both sides, from
Sheridan to West 5th Street. The Board continued hearing on same
to Monday December 3rd, 1928.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 860-1928, for the con-
struction of- sewer in territory between Harris Street & G.R.& I.
Railroad and School Street & North corporation linits. The Board
continued hearing on same to Monday December 3rd, 1928.
A claim in amount of ; 287.08 was filed against the City, -by C.M.
Brown, atty. , for J.L.Teegarden & Co. , for damages Purported to
have been done. him hF in improvement of School Street under Reso-
lution No. 856-1928, by E.A.Mariani & Co. , contractors under
Resolution No. 860-1928, while constructing sewer along said school
Street .
The Board is of the opinion, that this is note valid claim against
the City, and instruct the Clerk to 'notify Messrs, Teegarden and
Mariani, to appear before them Monday December 3rd, 1928.
The Clerk was instructed to prepare an appropriation ordinance
in sum of $900.00 to Fire Department Miscellaneous eouipment
account for 5 new registers to indicate thec,bokLnumber on fire
alarms.
Claims in amount of $14, 571.01 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,

ing to be held on that day.
