Thursday November 22nd,1928.
. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday November 22nd,
1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid,
McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were
had, to-wit :
I/ Upon recommendation of Sup 't . , Light Plant, arc light was ordered in-
stalled on North 19th Street between North "G" & "J" Streets.
A petition signed by business men near 3rd & Main Street, together
with a recommendation from Police Commissioners requesting a traffic
signal be placed at 3rd & Main Streets was received and taken under
advisement.
Kemper Bros. , where ordered by the Board to stop running water on
surface of sidewalks on east side of North 15thoStreet at North "F"
Street along their factory building.
The Board directed Pyle & Ridgeway to construct a 24" drain across
South 5th Street at South "M" Street southwestwardly across lots to
alley between South 4th & 5th Street; thence south to "N" Street;
thence west along north side of "N" to the present drain under South
"N" Street, using vitrified pipe across South 5th Street & either forn
of tile or #2 Vit. pipe for balance. •
• A report of investigations of sewage facilities of the east & south-
east sections of the City, made by the Department of sanitary Engine-
ering Department of Indiana, was received and a copy ordered given
to Mr. Wrn. H. Schnieder, chairman of Committee on Streets, Alleys,
etc. , of the Com-non Council.
On motion of Mr. Henley seconded by Mr, McFail, the contract for the
removal of garbage from the Crematory, was awarded to George Kircher
for one year beginning December 1st, 1928.
Claims in amount of 09, 833.19 were allowed.
