City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday November 12th, 1928.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday November
12th,_ 1928, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit :
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution No.870-1928, C.& G. NW.3re Street, from
Randolph St. to Richmond Ave. , the same was accepted and primary
assessment roll approved.
The Board approved the contract & bond of W.L.Magaw, contractor
under Improvement Resolutions No 's. 875 & 876-1928.
The Board unanimously adopted and confirmed Declaratory Resolu-
tion No. 226-1928, providing for the vacation of_ 14 feet off
west side of the alley between South 8th & 9th Street, from South
"M" to "N" Street in rear of lots 64 to 74 inclusive, Beallview -
Addition, whereas, the South Side Improvement Association, the
only interested property owners, having waived all rights of hear-
ing and remonstrance against said vacation, the Board confirmed
said resolution and directed an assessment of benefits be made
against said association to cover the cost of proceedings and
fix , Monday November 26th, 1928, at 9 oclock A.M. as a date for
hearing of final assessment of benefits .
The Board unanimously accepted and approved the dedication of
14 feet off of the west end of lots 11 to 21 inclusive, in the
Beall view Addition, dedicated by the South Side Improvement
association, to open the 20r'oot alley between South Sth & 9th
Street, from South "M" to " N" Street, thereby throwing said al-
ley 14+ feet east of the present east alley line.
The Board received communication from John W. Mueller, agreeing
to dedicate 5 foot strip of ground off of east side of his lot
situate on west side of South 9th Street, stating he would be
pleased to cooperate in any effort which can be. made to widen
the sidewalk as promptly as possible, stating. the future devel-
opment of this street depends upon wider sidewalk being construct-
ed. Clerk instructed to extend the thanks of the Board for his
cooperation.
The Building Inspector was instructed to have the wall and door
repa.ited at the City Jail.
