APPROVING 2018 SNOW PLOWING AND
REMOVAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has advised the Governing Body that snow plowing
and removal may be needed within the Borough of Carteret: and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has advised that said snow plowing and removal services are
necessary for the safety and well -being of the residents and employees of the Borough of
Carteret.
WHEREAS, Resolution #16 -210 adopted by the Mayor and Council on December 27.
2016 states that the Borough has the option to extend the contract for an additional twelve
month period; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret. County of Middlesex. State of New Jersey, that snow plowing and removal
services shall be provided by S. Brothers, Inc. to the above described at a cost not to
exceed $75,000.00 is hereby approved. Accomt # _ T-15—_%-829—M1,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the
Borough Engineer and the Borough's Purchasing Department to effectuate the purposes
expressed herein.
