The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday September 6th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFall and Henley being present . the following pro- ceedings were had, to-wit : The Clerk was directed to prepare appropriation ordinance to pre- ' . sent to council for sufficient money to purchase fire pumper. The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any of persons whose proper- ty is affected under Improvement Resolution 'No. 873-1928; for the improvement of Boyer Street, by constructing cement sidewalk, C.& G. planting trees olp both sides of street and paving the roadway with either Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt, Reinforced Concrete or Bitumi- nous Macadam from Stevens Street to Wi lliamsburgh Pike, a remon- strance being filed, the hearing was continued to Monday September 10th, to investigate remonstrance. • The Board met to hear all persons whose property is primarily asses-- sed under Improvement Resolution No. 852-1928, for the improvement of North 12th Street, by constructing cement sideilalk, curb & gutter on both sides of street, froth North " .E" to '"J" Street . No one remon- strating the Board approved a final assessment roll, confirming the • primary assessment- roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance . The Board met to hear remonstrance if any of persons whose property is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 862-1928, for the construction of a sanitary sewer in the. alley between Ratliff & ,Harris Street, from Stevens Street to north corporation limits . No one appearing or remonstrating. The Board approved a final assess- ment roll; confirming the primary assessment roll as heretofore ap- proved; and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted 'to the Department of Finance. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose property is primarily assessed and damages awarded -under Declaratory Resolu- tion No. 225-192c , for the vacation of alley between C.& O.Railroad & Lots 94 to 102 inclusive, Beallview Addition, from South "Pa St . . to South 8th Street. No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board ap- proved a final assessment roll confirming the primary assessment roll of benefits & damages heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance. A remonstrance having been filed Sep. 4-th, 1928, against improvement of South 5th Street improvement under Resolution No. 872-1928, the Engineer reported 24 resident property owners and 9 of same had signed the remonstrance, this not being a majority, the Board over- rules the same, as bids for said work has already been advertised fo] J . F.Hipskind contractor, was awarded contractors certificates No-'s 5 -F9-60-61 & 62, total amount $25, 314.94 on the Clear Creek Trunk & Lateral Sewers. Permission was granted H.
