City of Richmond, Indiana,
Thursday August 30th, 1928.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday August
30th, 1928, at 9 o t clock A. M. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
Permission was granted A. Thompson to cut curb at 447 SW, 5th St.

Permission was granted D.D.Minnick to cut curb at 301 N. 12th St.
A petition for cement curb & gutter on both sides of North 22nd
Street, from Main to North. t1E11 Street was received and filed.
The city Civil Engineer reported the completion of Maple Street
under Improvement Resolution No. 857-1928, for cement sidewalk,
curb, gutter and trees both sides and concrete roadway in Maple
Street, from Ridge to Harris Street, the same was accepted and
primary assessment roll approved.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No, 876-1928
for the improvement of Southf1Gt° Street, by constructing cement
curb & gutter, cement sidewalks where necessary, planting of
shade trees, and paving the roadway with a bituminous macadam
surface on a cinder-gravel foundation, together with the neces-
sary drainage structures, from South 13th to 16th Street.
The Clerk was directed to notify, Carl Thompson, to remove the
advertisements from Trash Receptacles controlled by him on the
city streets. -
The Clerk was directed to notify the various property owners
to- remove the timber along Southwest 4th Street in the gutters
and used by them for driveways.
The Board order resolution prepared and presented to council
requesting appraisers to appraise a -team of horses and a cow
used at Glen Miller Park with a view of selling the same.
Claims in amount of S11, 759.31, were allowed.
The next regular meeting of the Board feing Labor Day, the Board
on motion decide there will be no meeting on that day and adjourn
to Thursday September 6th, 1928.
