RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF "FAIR AND OPEN"
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SALT STORAGE BUILDING
WHEREAS, there exists a need for assembly of a salt storage building for the Borough
of Carteret. County of Middlesex, New Jersey (the "Borough "); and
WHEREAS, the Borough has, through the fair and open process, publicly advertised for
a Request for Proposals /Quotes and said requests for assembly of a salt storage building
shed were received in the Office of the Municipal Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has reviewed all proposals received and has detennined that
the Borough Council desires to authorize the assembly of a salt storage building by S.
Brothers; and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11 -1 et. seq.) requires a
resolution authorizing such contract;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Borough Council of the
Borough of Carteret that S. Brothers has been awarded the contract for
assembling/construction of salt shed for the amount of $38,925.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that S. Brothers will sign the purchase order issued and
treat such as written contract to be executed with the Borough and that a copy of this
Resolution, the Business Entity Disclosure Certification and Contract shall be placed on
file with the Clerk of the Borough.
