Monday August 13th, 192S.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday August 13th
1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board ' gngxpxzxra
Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board approved the contract & bond of J .L.Teegarden & Co. ,
. contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 870-1928.
The Board met to hear remonstrances and take final action on
Declaratory Resolution No. 225-1928, for the vacation of the al-
ley between the O.& O.Railroad and Lots 94 to 102 both inclusive
in Beallview .Addition, from South"P" Street to South 8th Street .
No remonstrance being filed against said vacation other than a
verbal remonstrance by H.H.Johanning, the Board overrules said
verbal remonstrance, and being duly advised in the premises,
the Board takes final action on said resolution the same being
confirmed without modification. And the Board now orders a list
or roll be prepared of all owners or holders of property, and of
valuable interests therein, sought to be taken or to be injurious-
. ly affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected.
The Board served notice on George Ferling, to remove that barn
of the barn used as a veterinary hospital in the rear of his prop-
erty on corner of South 6th & "A" Streets protruding over the
street as recently widened by the Board of Public Works-of Richmond
not later than the 21st day of August, 1928. If street is not cleared
by that time the City will proceed to cut the building off and re-
store it to its present condition after being shortened and the
cost of such work in cutting the building off and restoring the
same will be charged to his account and deducted from the award of
damages made in the proceedings had to widen said South"A" Street
at this point.
Claims in sum of 010, 675.31 mere allowed.
In matter of petition for arc light at Southwest 5th & "F" Street
Sup 't. , of Light Plant reported no light should be placed at
said corner.
