The Board of Public Works of the' City of Richmond, Indiana, met . in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday July 19th 1928, at,.9 o 'clock A. M. All the Members pf raid Board., Messrs, Reid, McFall. and Henley being. present. The followin>`; proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board granted permission to Great States Corporation, to erect a temporary fmamaxbuilding in South 8th Street, between " 0" & nrn Street, building to be fire proof, said corp. to leave a passage wide enough for traffic, said building, subject to removal at any • I/ time, upon objections filed with the City. The Clerk was directed to notify Mrs. Bertha Garraty, 211 Albion Place, Cincinnati, Ohio, to have the dangerous sidewalk repaired adjacent to her property No. 27 North 8th Street, this city. The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution Ng. S67-1928, for im- provement of alley let south of West Main Streets from SW.4th to 5th Street by cement roadway. No one remonstrating, the Board de- cide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost. of same, • and thereupon con- firm said resolution without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 860-1928, for im- provement of the alley between Southwest Lrth & 5th Street, by constructing constructing cement roadway, from 1st 'a.11ey south of West Main Street to the let alley north of National Road. After hearing all persons interested who appeared and carefully considering a re- monstrance filed signed by Alsa Landon Root, Mrs. E. Merrill. The Board decide that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same, and thereupon confirm said resolution without modification. The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No.869-1928, for the im- provement of 1st alley north of National Road, by cement roadway from Southwest 4th to 5th Street . After hearing all persons who apweared and carefully examining a remonstrance filed, signed by Harry Bentlage & 6 other resident property owners, the Board de- cide the same is a majority remonstrance against said improvement and upon 11otiOn, of Mr. Henley, rescind said resolution. • The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. `70--1928, for the im -11 - provement of Northwest 3rd Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter on both sides of street, from Randolph Street to . Richmond Avenue . No one remonstrating, the Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are eq- ual to the cost of same, and thereupon confirm said resolution without modification. Thursday July 19th, 1928. Pursuant to notice given, the Board received bids for coal for use of City, for year 1928 as follows, to-wit : " Muff Feed & Coal Co. , bid; 165 tons M. or L. The Board received bids under Impfove dent Resolution No. 864-1928, for improvement of South " L" Street, from South 5th to 9th Street , by constructing cement curb & gutter on both sides, paving center d ' 1either Concrete, SheetAsphalt,strip lu wide, with Reinforced Concrete, Shee t, Rock Asphalt or Bituminous M: acaclami on cinder gravel base, from edge of lo ' strip and new gutter as follows, to-wit : " Vi.
