HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-09-1928 Office of Board of Public Works 1 58 City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday July 9th, 1928. • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 9th 1928 `at 9 o ' clock A.M. All the members of said Board; Messrs, Reid, MoFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : In matter of Declaratory Resolution No. 224-1928, providingfor the widening of South. " A" Street, from South 9th Street east to alley between South 9th & 10th Street 10 feet on north side, hearing continued to Thursday July 12, 1928. The Board directed the4Bepartment of Finance, to psy to John F. Hipskind, iN6374.36, 85p-due under Improvement "esolution for , Clear Creek Outfall 'sewer. The Board sign contract with Standard Oil Co. , for Turbine Oil for use- at M. L . L. P . P. The Clerk was directed to notify The Richmond Home Telephone Co. , to remo re their pole et Northwest corner of South 9th & "A" St . The Board awarded contract to 'Garfield Dixon, to move the brick house from South 9th & "Q" Streets, to new location for sum of D25Oo • The Board awarded contract to Arthur Thomas, to do all the work furnish all material to dig basement , pour concrete walls 12" place all caller windows and brick up openings left by house movers, in and for the 'cui lding to be removed from South 9th • & "Q" Street to- ne'. location, for sum of 25.00. The Clerk was instructed to request Geo . J . Derbyshire, Gen. Sup 't . , C. & O.Ry. Co. , to set a date aft=r on or. after July 30th, 1928. for meeting on coal handling facilities at Light Plant . The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under Improvement Resolution No . 858-1928, for improvement of the alley between North 3rd & -l-th Street, from North" C" S-Ereet to 1st alley south of North "1ll" Street; thence east to North 4th • Street, same was accepted and primary assessment roll apmroved. The Clerk was directed to notify Coal Dealers, the City will receive bids for coal for City Buildings, & Perks . , July 19th, 1928.
