Thursday June 7th, 1928.
The Boar_-. of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday June 7th, 1928.
at 9 o 'clock A.M. ALI the members of said. Board, Messrs, Reid, McFail
and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The ten day period for filing of petitions for material to be used
in paving maple Street, from Ridge to Harris Street under Improve-
j ent Resolution No. 857-1920, havinrn expired, and no petition having

'been received for paving said street, the Board on motion award the
contract for improvement of said Street , to J . . L, Teegarden & Co. ,
at price named in bid submitted therefor on May 24th, 1920, desig-
nating that said street be paved using re=inforced concrete.
The Board direct the Finance Department to pay to John F. Hipskind
• contractor under I:nprovemeht Resolution No. 848-1928, " Clear Creek
Outfall Sewer" the sum of 21, 660.97, being 85% of the work done.
The Board received protest signed by John Hill and 22 other proper-
ty owners affected under Improvement Resolution No. 856-1928, pro-
testing against awarding the contract to J . L. Teegarden & Co. , stating
.. that Pyle & Ridgeway are the lowest bidders for sidewalks, curb &
gutter and grading, as the award was made on the total cost of the •
. improvement , the Board overrule the protest, and leave the award
of said contract to J . L. Teegarden Co. , stand as contracted for,
maintaining that their bid is the lowest , for total job.
The Board directed Daniel G. Burkhardt, contractor under Improve-
ment Resolution No. 851-1928, for improvement of alley between North
18th & 19th Street, by constructing cement roadway from North " 0"
to "E" Street, to concrete the alley the full width in rear of the
Presbyterian Church property.
Harry E. Ireton, was granted permission to cut the curb at 937
Sheridan Street.
The Street ComAssioner, was directed to pave the intersection ' at
North 7th & "A" Street , by a coat of Rock Asphalt over the concrete.
Also, to repair sewer in tracks in South 8th Street, south of"E" St.
The Board received bids for Sanitary Sewer under Improvement Reso-
lution No. 859-1928, for sewer_ in the alley between Boyer & Ridge
Street, from Stevens Street to corporation line, as follows :

The bid of E.A.Mariani & Co. , being the lowest, contract was
so awarded.

The Board received-bids, for Sanitary Sewer, in the territory between
School Street and the north corporation line and between Harris Street
and the G. R. & I . Railroad, under Improvement Resolution No.8 60-1928,
as follows, to-wit :

for Sanitary Sewer in the alley between Ratliff & Ridge Street, from
