City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday June 4th, 1920.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday June 4th,
1928, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Reid, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The Building Inspector was directed to have front flue taken down
to the first floor and re-built, at Starr Park Residence, 618
North 10th Street.
A petition signed by D. DeHaven et-al, praying that South 5th Streit
bg improved, by constructing cement sidewalks, curb & gutter and
grading roadway, from South "H" to "N" Street, referred to 'City
Engineer for investigation and report . ,

The Board ordered recommendation/made to the Common Council to
amend set back ordinance on Fort Wayne Avenue, to read from the
first alley north of Main Street to North " 0" Street .
Pyle- and Ridgeway, contractors, appeared before the Board stated
they were the low bidders for the improvement of School Street,by,
constructing cement sidewalks, curb, gutters and planting of trees
from Sheridan Street to Northwest 5th` Street, as the roadway should
not be computed on the total improvement , as the roadway had been
striken from the resolution at the day of hearing, and the portion
of roadway bid upon, Only affected the School City, and was not a
part of the resolution as modified on date of hearing. This matter
was referred to the City Attorney, City Engineer, Pyle & Ridgeway,
J . L. Teegarden & Co. , contractor receiving the award, together
with their attorneys.
The Street Commissioner was directed to look after and repair a.
bad grate inlet cover between South 10th & llth Street at South
• "B" Street.
The Clerk was directed to serve notice on Charles Blair to trim
the trees along his property in North 21st Street at corner of
Main Street .
The Board approved the various payrolls to June lst, 1928.
