City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday May 7th, 1928.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday May 7th,
1928 at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Reid, McFall and Henley being -present, the following proceed-
ings were had, to-wit :
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 859-1928, for the
construction of Sanitary Sewer in alley between. Boyer & Ridge
Street, from Stevens Street to the Williamsburgh Pike. A remon-
strance signed by Irvin Batchelor et-al, remonstrating against
said sewer was received, after due consideration, the Board deem
the sewer a necessity and overrule said remonstrate and decide
that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said
sewer are equal to the improvement, and thereupon confirm said
resolution without modification.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 860-1928, for ton-
struction in the territory north of School Street to the North
Corporation line and from the west line of Harris Street to the
right-of-way line of the G. R. & I. Railroad. No one appearing
or remonstrating against said improvements, the Board decides
that the benefits to .the property liable to be assessed for said
improvement are equal to the cost of same, and thereupon take
action on said resolution the same being confirmed without modi-
fication.

A petition was presented for water main in South 9th Street, from
South" 0" Street to a point south 250 feet. The Board take same
under advisement .
• The Board direct the Clerk to prepare appropriation ordinances
in amount of $ 14.5, 200.00, out of M.E.L.& P.P. Earnings for neces-
sary ma.terial, labor, etc . , for floors, stairways, reblading turbine
rewinding generator and auto-transformers.
Claims in amount of $p5729 .89 were allowed, and various payrolls
to May 1st were approved.
