The Board . received bids under Improvement Resolution No. 050-1928
for improvement of both sides of South 9th Street4 from. South "A"
- Street to- lst alley south of Main Street, by construction of a new
curb against the present sidewalk, and' grading & paving the space
between the edge of the present pavement and the new curb with one
of the following kinds of modern city pavements, to-wit : Rock Asphalt,
Sheet Asphalt , Asphaltic Concrete and Bituminous Irla.cadam, as follows

The Board ,received bids for improvement of the alley between North
l8 th & 19th Street, by constructing- cement roadway, from North " C" to
"E" Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 851-1928, as follows :

Thursday April 5th, 1928. -
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday April
5th, 1920, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board
Messrs, Reid, Mci+ail and Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
_ Permission was granted Harry C. Doan to cut the curb in South
21st Street at Lots l94-195 Reeveston Addition,
Permission was granted Wm. Wessel to cut the curb at 420 South
21st Street. •
Permission was granted John Althaus to cut curb at 428 North-
west 5th Street .
The Board received petition for sewer in the alley between Ridge
& Boyer Streets, from Stevens Street to Williamsburg Pike.
referred to engineer' for plans . ,
The Board purchase from H. D. Zuttermeister the N.W.pa.rt of
Lot 3, Sturgis, Add. for sum of 0.06.00, for purpose of widen-
ing alley at this -ooint.
The Board purchase from Soloman Saffer a part of Lot 3, Stur-
`is, Addition for sum of . 35.00, to widen alley at this point .
whereas, the common council having made the appropriation for
the city 's part of the construction of the Clear Creek Outfall
Sewer and disposal plant under Improvement Resolution No.d4S-
1928. The Board awarded the contract to John F. Hipskind,
being the lowest and bestbid received 4 nO, 512 .80 using; 2!.1"
Independent Concrete Pipe, total bid estimated on bill of

• The Board awarded the contract for the construction of the
- Clear Creek Trunk & Lateral Sewers, under Improvement Resolu-
tion No. 849-1928, to John F. Hirskind, his bid being the lowe.

Williamsburg Pike, same was referred to city engineer for plans.
The Board. unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 858-
1928, for improvement of the alley between North 3rd & li-th St .
by constructing cement roadway, from North " C" Street to 1st
alley south of North "D" Street thence east to North 4th Street .
