All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFall and Henley beine; present . The following proceed- ingd we_°e had, to-wit : The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Declaratory Resolution No. 221-1928, providing I/ for the widening of a portion of South "A" Street, by the condem- nation & appropriation of a portion of the lots on south side of . street, from South. 6th Street to the first alley east (See Res . ) • After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board be- in fully advised in the premises, and considering _verbal pro- test of George Ferling interested property holder. The Board con- firmed all former action heretofore taken on said resolution, ,, and fix Monday April 9th, 1928, as a date to confer with Mr. Leo. Ferling, as to his amount of damages, tO be awarded. Street Commissioner was instructed to repair the fence & gate at Disposal Plant at Southwest sewer system. Permission was granted E._PL.Berheide to cut the curb in rear of property at N.W. co r ner of South 5th & " C" Streets . A Mr. Fox, was granted permission to farm the ground belonging to the City on Newmans Hill, with the understanding that he keep the weeds cut off of same . A protest from the residents along Northwest 5th Street, was re- ceived, protesting against the erection of a Bill Board in rear of Lot at N.E. Corner of Lincoln & 5th Streets. It having been found that no permit has been issued or applied for, , for erection of said Board. The Clerk was directed to notify the Packer Adver- tising Co. , to remove the same at once; also the one in rear of lot at S.W. corner of North lath & " F" ''Streets . A petition signed by Elizabeth N. 0arpenter et-al, remonstrating a.-;ainst ornamental lights being erected on both sides of South 13th Street from Main to South " A" Street, was received and filed. The Clerk was directed to notify the vari Ous departmental heads to meet with them at their office Monday April 2nd, 1928, at 10 A. M.
