The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday March .5th, 1928, at 9 o °dock A. M. All the members of said • Board, Messrs, Reid, McFe.il and Henley being present . The following proceedings were • had, to=wit I/ A petition for improvement Maple Street, from Ridge Street west, was by said Board & referred to Engineering Department. A petion for cement roadway in alley ,between North 3rd & 4th Street . from North " C" to "D" Street, was received & referred to Engineer. The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 221-1928, for widening of South "A" Street as follows : Beginning et a point on the south line of South"A" Street at Northeast corner of Tract 296, Official Map of City, which point is on west side of alley between South 6th & 7th Streets; thence westwardly along a line which is a .continuation of the present south line of South " A" Street between South eth Street & 'the place of beginning, to- east line of South -6th Street; thence northward1y along east line of South 6th Street to the North-west corner of Lot No. 117 Original Plat; thence eastward- ly along the present south line of South"A" Street to the place of the beginning, excepting so much of above described strip of land as has already been dedicated to public use. The following bids received for painting stack at City Crematory, " New H. W.i,nders, . Box 266, New Castle, Indiana, bid; Painting Stack complete--$17. 50; if City furnishes paint- 12.00. " L. H. Burk, Cambridge. City, Indiana, bid; Painting Stack-; 20.00, City furnishes paint-- $18.00. • " G. F. Hopp, Indianapolis, Indiana, bid; Painting Stack -----035. 00 The bid of A. H. Winders, being the lowest received, contract was so awarded. The Clerk was directed to notify newspapers, to submit bids for city advertisements for year ending April 1st, 192 . Mr. Hess, was requested to have one of city plant engineers, to set the blow off on boiler in city building at 5lbs. , Claims in amount of $19, 851.03 were allowed.
