HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-27-1928 Office of Board of Public Works, City of Richmond; Indiana., Monday February 27th, 1928. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday February 27th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : A petition signed by. Fred Hackman et-al, for the improvement of South 16th Street by grading and constructing cement sidewalks 6 ' wide, C.& G. & paving roadway with modern pavement, from South " E" to " G" Street, ta.s received & referred to Engineer fo.r investigation as to prcnerty owners. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, under Improvement Reso- lution No. 848-1928, providing for out-fall sewer and pumping station and pumps outside the city to take care of Clear Creek Laterals etc. , (for description see resolution) no one rernonttrating the Board on motion decide that as the City and the State of Indiana, pays for said system, the resolution be confirmed without modification. The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any of persons whose proper- ty is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 849-1928, pfoyiding for the construction of lateral sewers known as the Clear Creek Lat- e±al sewer system (see resolution for description) No one appearing or. remonstrating, the Board decides that the benefits to the proper- . ty liable to be a.sdessed for said sewer system or improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board ordered that the following flushtanks be discontinued, and the Clerk was directed to notify the Richmond Water Works Corporation to disconnect and remove the meters from 20 flushtahias as follows, to-wit : 7i71_. 16, N. E1. 134,West 5th St , bet .Richmond Avenue and Chestnut Street . All others that remain to be turned on with moder- ate flow of water. • The Clerk was directed to prepare resolution and present to council, requesting Judge of Circuit Court to appoint 3 apnaraisers, to appraise property in South 5th St, and North "A" St . to be removed in widening & opening of S. 5th St . from "H" to " I" & widening N.
