The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday Febru •
-
ary 23rd, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All -the members of said Board
Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being- present: The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
Petitions for arc lights at South 7th & "P" & South 7th &"C.ff
Streets, also at Northwest 9th & Peacock Road presented by
I/ '
Councilmen Weltermann and Bonn, were referred to Sup 't . Hess.
A petition for the improvement of School Street, by construct-
ing cement sidewalks, curb & gutter and paving roadway, from
Sheridan Street to west corporation line on both sides of
street was received and referred to Engineering Department .
The Board met to hear .remonUtrances, if any of persons whose
property is primarily assessed under ' Improvement Resolution
No. 8 4-7-1927, for the construction of sewer in alley between.
Hunt & Harris Street,- from School Street -to north corporation
line. No remonstrance received, the Board approved a final as-
sessment roll confirming the original assessment roll as here-
tofore approved., and now direct the same be transmitted forth-
- with to the Department of Finance.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 854-1928
for alley 1st north of Main Street, by cement roadway from
North 17th to - l8th Street.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.855-1928
providing for the improvement of the alley between Southwest •& 5th Street, by cement roadway from -Southwest "D" to "E" .
Street .
The Clerk was directed to notify C.& O. Ry. Co. , of dangerous
condition of South 9th Street bridge , due to rotten head blocks •
causing the earth on the approaches to wash out ; also to ascer-
tain what is be -doing by them in matter of erection of new bridge
at this point . •
The Clerk was instructed to advertise for two l ton trucks with
dump bodies for use of street department.
The Board then adjourned,
