Thursday February 9th, l92&.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday Febru-
ary 9th, 1928, at 9 ooclock A. M. All the members of said Board
Messrs, Reid, McFall and Henley being present. The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected under Declaratory Resolution No. 220-1928, for the
condemnation of right of way to construct & maintain a sewer in
the territory west of Northwest 10th Street and north of Peacock
Road. (See resolution) no one remonstrating., the Board being duly
advised in the premises, take final action on said resolution the
same being confirmed without modification. And the Board now order
a list or roll prepared of all holders or owners of property, &
of valuable interests therein sought, to be taken or to •be injurious •
-
ly affected which list or roll shall describe the property bene-
ficially a.ffe&ted.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons pritharily
assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 833--1927, for the in-
stallation of light post system in various streets mentioned in
resolution (see resolution) no one remonstrating the Board unani-
mously approved a final assessment roll confirming in all things
the -primary assessment roll heretofore approved.
The Clerk reported various complaints received, which were refer-
red to Street Commissioner.
The Board direct the Finance Department to pay to contractors the
5% reserves retained on the following contracts, viz :
E . A. Mariani, ; 120.80, under Improvement Resolution No.816-1926.
D. G. Burkha.rdt,$49. 27, under Improvement Resolution No. 805-1926.
The Street Commissioner was instructed to place gravel on Gilbert
Ave. between Main 8: National Road the same being cut up by his
equipment hauling gravel over the same.
The Street Commissioner was instructed to inspect the tile under
Street in South "P" St . at 1st alley west of South ';th Street.
The Board received communication from Jones Hardware Co. , stating
they had four trucks for sale giving the price of same @ $400.00
$600.00 & y 750.00, taken under advisement .
The Board then adjourned,
