HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-30-1928 Office of Board of Public Works, 1 03 City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday January 30th, 1928. • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, `met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday January 30th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All .the members of said Board Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : A petition signed by Rudolph G. Leeds, praying for the opening of South 20th Street from South ".A" to "B" Street, was received and referred to City Planning Commission. The Board of Public Works entered into agreement with Rose C.Stanton, Katherine A. Stanton, and Jars M. & Veronica Stanton his wide own- ers of the property at Northwest corner of North 6th " "A" Streets, The City, promises and agrees, at its own expense,, to replace the Curb, Gutter & sidewalk, .and pave the roadway where unpaved, result- from the widening of North "A" Street, from North 6th Street east to the alley, the city to remove the house at 614 North "A" Street; fill the basement thereof to the yard level so as not to obstruct the pipes and drains under said house and there shall be no inter- ference by the city with the outside. privies, the city to pay to said Stantons the sum of S2613. 70, the city to receive the house known as 614 North "A" Street, and to acquire -five (5 ' ) foot og • ground from said Stantons off of the entire length of Lot No. 47 in C. The Board received Deed of dedication to five (5 ' ) foot of ground along the entire length of Lot No. )47, C.W. Starr 's, 1st Addition, abutting on north side of North "A" Street, the same being 5 foot off of the Southeside of entire length of said lot 47. The Board received bids, for the furnishing of all material and labor and the installation of Bath Room and fixtures in the premis- es occupied by Sup 't . , of Parks in Glen Miller Park as follows : Richmond Plumbing Co. , bid; Complete in every detail--&-ehangIng--radia#er $306.00 John H. Thurman, bid; Complete in every detail $385.00 C. H. Strebe Plumbing Co. , bid; Complete in every detail P382,37 The bid of Richmond Plumbing Store, being the lowest, the con- tract was so awarded. The Board approved primary assessment roll of benefits & damages in matter of right of way for out-fall sewer known as Clear Creek Out-Fall Sewer, under Declaratory Resolution No. 217-1927, and fix Monday February 13, 1928, 9 A.M. as a date and time for hear- of remonstrances.
