Thursday January 19th, 192g.
The Board of. Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday
January 19th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A, IL. All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present. The fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
Fire Chief, E. E. Miller was directed to purchase "Batteries"
necessary for fire alarm system.
The Board entered into an agreement "with Louis & Goldie, Morel
husband and wife owners of property on north side of North"A"
Street between 5th & 6th Street , as to the widening of said"A" •
Street affecting their property.
The Board together with the Mayor, City Attorney and represent-
atives. citizens and manufacturers met in conference with the
officials and engineers of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad Co. ,
in matter of new bridge requested over the railroad in South
9th Street, after some discussion as to the cost etc. , of a
new structure, railroad officials asked if the city would agree
to assume half the cost of new bridge, . the city officials stated.

. .ion, but the city would assume the cost of paving the roadway
over the a.oproache•s and bridge. Mr. Derbyshire, Superintendent,
promised that he would recom:nend to his superiors that a new
bridge as outlined be constructed at this point .
