HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-09-1928 • Office of Board of Public Works, 96 City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday January 9th, 1928. • • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at .the office of said Board Monday January 9th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : _ The Board approved and signed agreement with the various proper- ty owners, for changing pole lines on Elks Country Club Road. The Board ordered arc light placed at North 9th & "F" Street . 1/ The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, on amount of benefits assessed and damages awarded, under Declaratory Resolution No. 211-1927, for widening George Avenue to a width of 50 feet, from National Road to John Street, by appropriation and condemnation of 25 feet of ground off of east side of Pt . N.W.Quar. Sec. 6, Twp. 13, Rnge.l, West . After hearing all persons interested who appear- ed, no remonstrance having been filed. The Board unanimously ap- proved a final assessment roll of Benefits & Damages, and now de- clare said street widened as above described, and direct said as- sessment roll be forthwith transmitted to Department of , Finance. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, in matter of benefits & damages under Declaratory Resolution No. 212-1927, for the widen- . ing of Charles Avenue, to a width of 50 feet , by conde lning & ap- propriating 25 ft . off of west side of S.W.Quar. Sec.31, Tn.13 , Rnge.1, West , from West Main Street to north line of Earlham • Heights, Addition. No one remonstrating, the Board unanimously approved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages, and now declare said street widened as above described, and direct that said assessment roll be forthwith transmitted to the Department • of Finance. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons whose prop- erty is primarily assessed and damages awarded under Declaratory • Resolution No. 213-1927, for condemnation of right of way to con- struct and maintain sewer, across a portion of the N..E.Quar. Sec. 31, Tp. 13 , Rnge . 1, West . No one remonstrating. The Board unani- mously approved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages and direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of • Finance, and declare said right of way condemned &y appropriated. The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons whose prop- erty is primarily assessed and damages awarded under Declaratory 4eso1ution No. 214-1927, to condemn right of way to construct & maintain a sewer over and across a part of the S.W.Quar. of Sec .31, Tp. l-l-, Rnge. 1, West . No one remonstrating . The Board unanimously approved a final assessment roll, and direct the same be forth- with transmitted to the Department of Finance, and declare said right of way condemned and appropriated. The Board met to hear remonstrances If any, of persons whose proper- ty is primarily assessed and damages awarded under Declaratory Resolution No. 215-1927, to condemn right of way to construct and maintain a sewer, over and across 'a part of N-E.Quar. Sec. l, Tp.13, Rnge .l, West and a part of S-E.Quar. Sec .36, T'p.1 -, Rnge. l, West . After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board unani- mously approved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages, and Monday January 9th, 192g. 97. Dec.Res. 21 -192 7, cont 'd. , • direct the same "be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance . And the right of way is hereby changed according to agreement filed and signed by George Tibbot . to run said sewer straight instead- of having a jog therein; and said right of way as changed is hereby declared to be condemned and appropriated. 11 The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons ~-hose prop- erty is assessed in matter of benefits- : damages under- Declaratory Resolution No. - 21"e-1927, for- condemnation of right of way to con- struct and maintain a sewer, beginning at a point 142 ' north of • the National Road, on east side of what is known as West Avenue; thence in a northeasterly direction to a point 167 ' north of said National Road on west - side of George Avenue, being a part of N.W. Qt. of Sec . 6, Tp.l>, Rnge. l, West . No one remonstrating. the Board unanimously ap~.gored a final assessment roll, and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance, and now declare said right of way condemned and appropriated.
