City of Richmond Indiana.
Thursday January �jth, 1928.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of . said. Board Thursday January
5th, 1928, at 9 o 'clock . A. M. Messrs, McFail and Henley being
present ; Mr. Reid being absent . Two members .of said Board being
present. The fo11 wing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The City Civil Engineer presented annual report for year of 1927,
which was ordered placed on file.
The Board received word from C. & 0. Railroad Co. , that Sup 't.
Derbyshire and engineers would not be able to, meet with the Board
January 12, 1928, and set the time for meeting to January _19th,
1928.

The -Board received request thru Mrs. F. S. Bates, for Richmond Chap-
ter Daughters of the American Revolution, desiring permission to
eretta Statute-Marker in Glen Miller Park as a site for marking
the first tall gate in Indiana along the National Old Trails Road.
The clerk was directed to notify said Chapter that permission of
City is heartily given for placing said marker in the' Glen, and to
express the sincere appreciation and thanks of the Board to Mrs.
Bates and the Chapter, for selecting Richmond and Glen Miller Park
. as the site for placing said marker.
The Board approved payrolls up to end of year 1927.
Claims in amount of $18, 071. 79 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
