The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, m.et in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday Decem- ber 29th, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A; M; Messrs, McFail and Henley present . Mr. Reid, absent . Two members of said Board being pres- ent. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Declaratory Resolution. No. 218-1927, for the widening of North " A" Street ( 510 on the north. side thereof, from -east line of North 6th Street to the alley east ; Also, from the east line of North 5th Street to the east line of Lot No. 23, Jeremiah Cox, Addition .to City. , After hearing all per- sons interested who appeared and carefully considering a dis- cussion of the matter of benefits and damages between the City Attorney, Henry- U. Johnson, atty , for Mrs . U. Stanton and Mr. L. Morel. The Board directed the City Engineer to present the figures of compromise suggested by the Board to be entered into by the property owners and city if agreeable to said property • owners, and therupon Confirm the resolution as adopted, and now direct that a list or roll of all the owners of property be pre- pared and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken, which list or roll shal also describe the property beneficially af- fected. . The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, , of persons whose property is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 845-1927, for the improvement of Southwest !nth Street, from West Main Street to National -Road. No one appearing or remonstrating the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming in all • things the primary assessment roll as heretofore adopted. And now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance. The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 219-1927 for the Opening of Gilbert Avenue, from West Main Street north. Claims in amount of y 16,4¢1. 63 were allowed & ordered paid. Whereas, the next meeting of Board falls on Monday Jan. 2nd, 1928, which is New Years Lay, meeting for Monday is called off. 4 F` The Board then adjourned. Prest . of Board pro-ter.
