ADOPTING THE CITY OF HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY, ANNUAL CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
AND PROPERTY REPLACEMENT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2020 THROUGH
JUNE 30, 2021 BY ESTIMATING REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE
The Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Capital Equipment and Property Replacement Budget of the
City of Hopkinsville is hereby adopted as follows:
REVENUES
Transfer from General Fund $ 1,436,910
Additional Transfer from General Fund -(WINS) 40,018
Transfer From General Fund - IGSA Contract 235,000
Transfer From Probation & Parole Bond 80,000
Prior Year Revenue 0
Total Revenues $ 1,791,928
EXPENSES
Information Technology Department $ 180,000
Police Department 175,000
Fire Department 418,395
City Maintenance Division 56,010
Fort Campbell Contracts 235,000
Service Center 0
Parks and Recreation 30,000
Public Safety/Municipal Building Bond Payment 550,000
Stormwater - Pit Contribution 110,000
CDS - Streetscape Development 32,000
Total Expenses $ 1,786,405
Revenues in excess of expenses $ 5,523
SECTION TWO
The Mayor and/or City Administrative Officer are hereby authorized to enter into any
contracts or agreements necessary to acquire capital equipment or services within the
allocations listed in this ordinance.

SECTION THREE
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance is for any
reason held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such infirmities shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION FOUR
Any and all existing ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FIVE
This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 2020 after its passage and publication according
to law.
