Monday December 12th, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday December
12th, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board,Messrs,
Reid, McFa.il and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had, to-wit : •
The Board .met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons interested
or whose property is affected under Declaratory Resolution No.
217-1927, for right of way for construction of and maintaining a
sewer out-let and outside of the city. On motion the hearing was
postponed until Thursday December 15th, 1927, to 9. A. M.
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion ofcontract under
Improvement Resolution No. 845-1927, for the improvement of South-
west 4-th Street, by constructing cement sidewalks, curb & gutter,
planting trees on both sides and paving the roadway with tarvia
treated macadam, from West Main Street to National Road. The Board
accepted the same and approved primary assessment roll for said
improvement. •
The Board approved primary assessment rolls under the following
numbered Declaratory Resolutions, to-wit :
211-1927, to widen George Avenue from National Road to John St.
212-1927, to widen Charles Ave. from West Main St. to ll'arlham Hghts.
213-1927, to condemn right of way for sewer over and. across the
NE.Quar.Sec.31, Tp.13,Rnge. 1, West .
214-1927, to condemn right of way for sewer over and across part
of SW.Quar.Sec.31, Tp.1 , Rnge. 1, West.
215-1927. to condemn right of way for sewer over and across part
of NE.Quar.Sec. 1, Tp. l3iRnge .l, West; and part of SE.Quar.Sec.36,
Tp.11-, Rnge. 1, West.
216-1927. to condetiln right of way for sewer over and across the
following territory; Beg. at a point 142 ft .north of National Road
on east side of West Ave; thence in northeasterly d_irection to a
point 167 ft . north of -National Road to George Ave, and the Board
fix January 9th, 1928, as a date of hearing of remonstrances in
matter of benefits assessed and damages awarded.
The Clerk was directed to notify Pyle & Ridgeway contractors for
improving of Hunt Street, from School St . to north corporate limits
. to barricade and place warnings signs & lights at the intersection
with said street, to safeguard the city and public while the street
is in its present condition.
The Board then adjourned,
