Monday November 21st, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Monday November 21st,
1927, at 3 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, McFall and Henley being present,
Mr. Reid, absent. Two members of said Board being present. The fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Clerk notified the Board of the City being sued by Minnie Clapper
for personal injurious received by falling over bad street at South
18th & "A" Streets, in sum- of $10,000.00 damages, referred to City
Attorney.
The Board granted contractors certificate #52 in sum of 1748.34
under Improvement Resolution No. 844-1927.
The Board met to hear all persons whose property is primarily assess-
ed under Declaratory Resolution No. 208-1927, under benefits & damageE
for the opening & straightening alley 1st south of West Main street
over & across Tract 207, 0fficial Map, City, to straighten said alley
to West 5th Street. No one remonstrating the Board approved a final
assessment roll of benefits and award of damages as heretofore ap-
proved and now direct the same forthwith transmitted to the Depart-
ment of Finance, and said alley is declared opened and straightened.
The Board met to hear all persons whose property is primarily assess-
ed- under Declaratory Resolution No. 209-1927, as benefits and damages
for the vacation of portion of alley 1st south of West Main Street
from Southwest 4th Street, thence -west 72 feet ; thence south 34.37'
to said alley running to Southwest 5th Street . No one remonstrating
against said assessment of benefits & award of damages. The Board
approved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages as heretofore
approved and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the De-
partment of Finance, and said portion of alley is declared vacated.
The Clerk was directed to notify Geo. C. Ball to have the gasoline
pump removed from the curb in front of his property 1512 Main St.
The Board select J. ' F. Davenport, Thos. Wheelan and Clarence Kramer
as appraisers to appraise the property damage for widening North"A"
Street between 5th & 7th Streets.
The Board approved the various payrolls to November 16th, 1927.
Claims in amount of $35, 197.97 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
