Monday October 24th, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Monday October 24th, 1927,
at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Reid, McFall
and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit
The Board approved the contract & -bond of F. A. itariani contractor
under Improvement Resolution No. 847-1927.
The Board mpt to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose property
is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution .No. 820-1927, for
. improvement of Boyer Street , by constructing cement sidewalk, curb &
gutter on both sides and paving the roadway with gravel & tar treated
macadam, . from School to Stevens Street . No one remonstrating, the Board
approved a final assessment roll confirming the original assessment
roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same be transmitted
forthwith to the Department of Finance.
The Board met to hear -remonstrances if any, of persons whose property
is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 841-1927, for
construction of sewer in alley between Ratliff & Hunt Street, from
Stevens Street to north corporation limits. No one remonstrating, the
Board approved a final assessment roll, confirming the original assess-.
ment roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forthwith -
transmitted to the Department of Finance. -
The Metropolitan Police Commissioners, reported that after investigat-
ing -bids received for -2 automobiles Ior police department, they find
they will have to many cars, and therefore recommend that all bids be
rejected, and the Board re-advertise for bids for two automobiles
trading in the old Dodge & Chevrolet Touring cars now used by the de-
partment. The Board accept the report and direct the clerk to adver-
tise as above requested.
The Clerk was directed to notify the Board of School Trustees, that
South "J" Street improvement has been accepted by the City, and the
Board of School Trustees, will be expected to take some means to stop
the soildfrom washing onto the sidewalk from school property.

• -The Board approved a primary assessment roll of benefits & damages
under Declaratory Resolution No. 204-1927, for the opening of South
12th Street, from South "H" to "J" Street.
