in revular session at the office of said Board Monday October
17th, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. Jr. All the members of said Board,
Messrs, Reid, McFalland Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
Permission was granted -C.M.Benson, to cut the curb at 103 South-
west 9th Street; also to Lon E. Jones, to cut the curb at Lot
#12 G.H.Knollenbergs, Sub-Div. I/
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose prop-
erty is assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 810-1926, 170n
the improvement of South IB JH Street, by constructing cement side-
walk, curb, gutter & planting trees and paving the roadway with
surface treated macadam, from South 9th to 13th Street . No one
remonstrating . The Board approved a final assessment roll, con-
. firming assessment roll heretofore arwroved, and now direct the
same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance.

the improvement ,Of South " I" Street, by constructing cement side-
walks, curb & gutter & paving the roadway with- surface treated
macadam, from South 9th to 13th bt reef; No one remonstrating the

roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forthwith
transmitted to the Department of Finance.

the assessment roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same
be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance..
The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons whose proper-

improvement of east side of Northwest. 5th Street, by constructing

The Finance Department was directed to pay to Daniel G. Burkhardt
contractor under the following improvement resolutions the amount
of the 5% retained as follows, to-wit :
Improvement . Resolution No. 806-192 6
Improvement "Resolution No. 81 -1926 80. 63

• The Clerk was directed to notify the Richmond water Works Corpor-
ation, to get the water main laid in Southwest 4th Street, from
1/. Main Street to National Road, as they were delaying the contractor
in paving said street .
The Clerk was directd to notify, Messrs, Chas. Lyons, J . H. Fulle,
E. E. _Miller and Dr. R. Schillinger5 to meet with the Board on
Thursday OctoberQth, 1927, to discuss various matters Ln connect-
ion with the expenditure of the several departments, as to the best
method of staying within the budget .
The Board approved the various city payrolls tp October 16, 1927.
The- City Civil Engineer, was directed to make arrangements with
persons directed to appyaise property for City, in case of openings
vacations, widenings, etc . , a s to pay for a ppraisements; and proceed
to have ground appraised for opening Gilbert Ave, from Main Street
to Peacock Road.
