Thursday September 22d, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday September 22nd,
1927, at 9 o 'clock A. .,_. All the _members of said Board, _vies srs, aeid,
VlcFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings were
had, to-wit:
The Board granted Oermission to H. E. Jahnke to cut the curb on Rich-
mond Ave . side of his property .l4o. 436 Northwest 5th Street ; also
1/ - ranted permission to Johnson & Harper to cut the curb on South 19th
Street at Lot No. l40, Reeveston Addition. for driveways.
The Board apnroved the contract & bond of John F. HipskinC , contra ct-
or under Improvement Resolution No . 844-1927 .
The Board approved the primary assessment rolls under Improvement
Resolutions No ' s . 826-1927 and 39-1927.
Petition for extension of water -:lain in Boyer Street, from Stevens
Street to north corporation line was 'received & referred to .'dater
Works .
Mr. Kendric appeared before the Board request in" that water main be
,extended in School Street a,proximately 200 feet west of Harris St .
after

a-.f t,er considering t,P_ above request , the ascertained
would require a 10" main to this extension, and in view of the fact
there would only be one - consumer on said main and it is not essential
at this time for fire protection, the City cannot order said main,
as even -though the cost of same would be ` 20. C0 per annum to the
City, there would not be sufficient revenue to justify the City in
ordering this main laid, at this time .
The Board directed the Street Com._ti ssioner, to remove the " School
Zone" signs from around the old Hibbard School to South 9th S,._eet
and near the new School Building.

The Board direct the clerk to request the Police Commissioners to

The Board direct M.A.Ha.wkes, to install traps at the end of mains in

hlm for the ad l t cnal sum of 4p240.0D, see. let ter.
Claims in amount of " 3038.36 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
