The Board-of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana.,
met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday
August 22nd, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Reid, McFail and Henley being present . The
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
•
Permission was granted Frank H. Hall to cut the curb at 313
South 3rd Street..
was granted August Kohnle to cut the curb at 528II
South 6th Street,
John Shepman, was granted permission to use the sidewalk in
South 9th Street at No. 4 Hose House for sandwich stand, un-
til objections to the same is made, when the same shall be
removed. •
The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution No.839-
1927, for cement roadway in alley between South 12th & 13th
Street, from South "B" to " C!' Street, as follows, viz:
" 'ianiel G. Burkhardt, bid;
Cement roadway complete $0.240 sq-foot.
" Pyle & Ridgeway, bid;
Cement roadway complete $0. 254.0 sq-foot.
The bids being above the estimate, all bids rejected.
The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution No. 84e-
1927, for cement roadway in alley between Crosshall & Boyer
from Grant to School Street, as follows to-wit :
" Pyle & Ridgeway, bid;
Cement Roadway complete $0. 28¢ square foot
" Laniel G. Burkhardt, bid;
Dement Roadway complete $0.282¢ square foot
The bids being above the estimate, the same were rejected.
The Board received bids fnder Improvement Resolution No. 841-
1927, for the construction of sever in alley between Ratliff
& Hunt Street, from Stevens Street to north line of Lots No.
59 & 88 Fairview Heights Addition, as follows to-wit :
" John F. Hipskind, bid;
Sewer Complete $2.74 per linear foot
" E. A. ariani, bid;
Sewer Complete $3.14 per linear foot
The bid of John F. Hipskind being the lowest received, and
being within the estimate of the city civil engineer, the con- •
• tract was so awarded.
The Building Inspector was granted leave of absence Aug. 24th •
25th & 26th, 1927, and the clerk directed to request Sup 't . , of
Light Plant to take care of wiring inspections during such.
absence of Mr. Higgs, Building Inspector.
