There being but one members of the Board of Public Works present no meeting held and all hearings on advertised Improvement Resolutions automatically continued to Thursday August 4th, 1927. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in office of said Board Thursday August 4th, 1927, at 9 o ' clock A. M. Messrs, McFail & Land absent, Mr. Henley be- ing present . His Honor L. A. Handley Mayor of said City act- ing as a member of said Board ex-officio. The following pro- ceedings were had, to-wit : Hearings on Improvement Resolutions No. 839 - 840 and 841- 1927, were continued to Monday August 8th, 1927. Notice was received from Public Service Commission of Indiana, of. the approval of petition of T.H. I.& E.Traction Co. , for extension of street railway tracks into Glen Miller Park, same was placed on file. Sup 't . , of Crematory was directed to purchase 15 tons of Coal from Richmond Coal Co. , © ? 6. 50 for crematory. Contractors certificates 746 on Improvement Res. No.8i9-1927 and #47 Improvement Res. No.820-1927, in sum of ; 2791. 9 & $1827. 58, were awarded to John F. Hipskind contractor. Contractor certificate #48Imp. Res. No.810-1926, in sum of $2726.80, was awarded to W.L.Magaw, contractor. Permission was granted Walter M. Keach, to cut the curb on west side of East Haven Ave. , at Lots 1-2-4 & 5. J .Benhan,Add. Pursuant to advertisement , ' bids were received, opened and read for light posts and necessary equipment for the various light post systems to be installed by M.E.L.& P .P. the same were opened and read, and referred to D.
