Mr. ,w.H..Wright,C.E.Caldwell --- for .Horovits,Mr W.G.Logan --- ., J.A.Byers,_ €.P *Brooks ,B .P.Axson, ,suite a bit od.discussion was had both for and against certainAtrains. the final outcome being that the C.R.R.five trains each way daily ex- cept Sunday,unless the patronage warranted an increase, the new ached- s ule becoming effective May 16 1925. Town of Tybee,Ga.,May 1st 1925. Town Council met in regular session to -day at 4.P.M. those present being Mayor ?Harris and Councilmen Horovits,Logan, ,salt! lour, - -- Mr Brennan - -- Mes.srs.T.K.Joyce J.R.Joyce and Mrs Doyle. The matter of condemnationa proceedings against the buildings owned by the Joyce estate at Lcvell station was brought up and Mayor Harris asked Messrs Joyce if there any reason for Council not proceeding against the property - -- Mr.J.R,Joyce said that four of the buildings were in a fair state of condition only needing some repairs bait that this was held up due to the fact that one of the heirs owning a 1/5 interest in the property would not agree to have anything done to the buildings with the result that the work of the was held up - -- the large dwelling Mr Joyce said he was willing to tear down as it was in a bad state of repaint - -- Mayor harris said that the large building constituted a fire hazard it would ne necessary that it be torn down immediatelty,and Council informed= 11ii.Joyce that it would allow him 30 days in which to recondition the four buildings_ in question and that the large building mast be razed at once - -- i!r Joyce agreed to do this. Mayor Harris said that as the expense of operating the power plant last season had been so great that he thought it would be a more economic plan to run it for a shorter period during the day but the question of how the Hotel was to be taken care of during the time that the plant was closed down came up - -- it was finally decidedthat the plant be operated for one month on full time and record kept of the cost of operation with a view to ascertaining whether or not it can be operated on this basis without a loss. Mr Cann suggested that Mr Lon act as a special committe to check up on the plant and see what the cost of operation will be for one month - -- the Mayor appointed Mr Logan. 411 Tne Mayor asked for authority to issue executions for collections of •debts due the Town - -Mr Waithour made motion that Mayor be given this authority - -- motion carried. The Mayoeoalled attention to the fact that .another policeman would be needed by May 10th and another by June lat.
