HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-18-1927 Office of Board Of Public Works 35 City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday July 18th, 1927. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July lath, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, Land and Henley being present ; Mr. McFall, Absent. Two members of _said Board being present. The - following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board meet to hear all persons interested or whose property is :i primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 817-1926, for the improvement of Northwest 6th Street, by grading the street, from Pearl Street to the Peacock Road. No remonstrance having been filed. The Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the original assessment roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forth- with transmitted to the Department of Finance. The Board met to hear persons interested or whose property is primar- ily assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 832-1927, for the im- provement of the alley between South loth & 15th Street, by construct- - ing a _cement roadway, from South "E". to "F" Street. No remonstrance having been filed. The Board approved the final assessment roll con- firming the original assessment roll as heretofore approved, and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance. Permission was granted J.W.Gossett to cut the curb Lot 14, Kirkmans Add. the same being 206 East Haven Avenue. The Board received communication from the T.H. I. & E. Traction Co. , requesting the grade of Hunt Street from School Street, north, the Board take same under advisement and until going over the street with the city civil engineer. In view of the fact that the Health Department appropriation is almost exhausted, The Street Commissioner was directed to have weeds on vacant lots over the city cut by his department , and to collect for same were possible. The Board adopted Improvement Resolution No. 842-1927, for the improvE ment of Hunt Street, by constructing cement walks, C.& G. grading and paving the street with either Reinforced Concrete;Sheet Asphalt;Rock Asphalt or Bituminous lia.cadam, from School Street to the north torpor- . ate limits of the City.
