The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July llth, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, McFail and Henley,present. Mr. Land, absent, - Two members of said Board being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons interested or whose property is affected by the opening of South 5th Street , from South "H" to " I" Street and the widening of said street to a width of 50 feet, from South " I" to "L" Street, under Declaratory Resolu- tion No. 210-1927. After hearing all persons interested who appeared quite a number of property owners affected appearing, and all being in favor of said proposed opening & widening, the Board being duly advised in the premises, confirming all former action taken on said resolution without modification, and direct that a list or roll be prepared, of the owners or holders of property injuriously affected or the property sought to be taken, which list or roll shall_ also de- scribed the property beneficially affected, . The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily as- sessed under Improvement Resolution No. 831-1927, providing for the irp alley between South 10th & llth Street, by a cement roadway, from South " I" to "J" Street. After hearing all persons who appeared, the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the original assess- ment roll as heretofore approved, and direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 841-1927, foo improvement of the property between Ratliff & Hunt Street in Fairview Heights Addition; By constructing a sewer in alley between Ratliff & r Hunt Street, from Stevens Street to the north line of Lots 59 & 88 Fairview Heights Addition. Jesse A. Bailey, W. S. White & W.Glen Hamilton, appraisers, appraised a vacant strip of ground at the point of intersection of North 5th Street & west side of Fort Wayne Ave, being 35 X 5 feet, at $700.00. The Clerk reported remonstrances against the amount of benefits assess- ed and damages awarded in matter of widening of School Street,under Declaratory Resolution NO. 205-1927, had been filed by Andy & Aletha Hart; Frank M. & Viable Minor, Geo. V. & Stella Stinson and Thos. A. & M. parker had been filed on July 7th & Sth, respectfully, the Board overruled the same, and refused to change said assessment and awrd. Henry Kendrick, requested a water main be laid in School Street, from 'i Harris Street west apprx. 200 feet, taken under advisement . Louisa Bucher complained of contractors tearing up cement walk in RidgE Street at her property, between sidewalk & C.& G. contractors directed to replace said walk. • The Board then adjourned, Attest : Prest .
