Monday May 23rd, 1927.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said. Board Monday May 23rd,
1927 at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs,
Land, McFall and Henley being present . The -following proceedings
. were had, to-wit : -
Permission was granted H. H. Jo'haIIning, to construct under private
contract a cement curb & glitter on north side of South i' 0U Street
from South loth Street -to the alley east .
- A petition for cement sidewalk on -west side of North 19th Street,

er for report on cost to city.
The -Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 833-1927, for the improve-
ment of South 22nd Street, by grading constructing cement sidewalks
5 ' wide,- cement curb -& gutter, planting of trees on both sides of
street, .constructing parkways curb, grading and paving the roadway
with one of the following kinds of modern city pavements, to-wit :
Bituminous i'iacadam, Sheet Asphalt, Rock Asphalt or Re-inforced Concref
from South I'nlc Street , to •Reeveston Road. No one appearing or remon-
• strating against said improvements, The Board decide that the bene-
fits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are
eoual to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and
- thereupon take action on said resolution, the same being confirmed
ithout modification.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for truck for use of
Street Department .
The Clerk was directed to request The Reliance Foundry Co. , and the
Land Foundry to submit prices on furnishing the city with needed
castings, on June 2nd, 1927, •
claims in amount of $2139 . 54 irere allowed. i
The Board unanimously adopted iiesolution for a system of street liFfht
and light posts on streets designated at meeting held May 19th, 1927 ,
and direct the Sup' t. , of Municipal Electric -Lighting & Power Plant
to proceed with. the necessary steps for erecti tigg & installing the
same , by said plant .
The Board then adjourned,
