Thursday May 19th, 1927. •
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday May 19th
1927, at 9 o ' clock A. M. Messrs, Land and ivicFail being present;
Mr. Henley being absent. Two members of said Board being present
the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The Clerk presented petition signed by John Hensley & 18 other
property owners residing along Ridge Street, between Charles and
School Street, requesting that said street be paved with 8" re-in-
forced concrete from Charles to School Street as provided under Im-
prove.nent Resolution No. 830-1927, which was filed in the Clerks
office 9.40 .A. v.. May 17th, 1927. The Board having heretofore desig-
nated

upun- recognize the petition as filed, and now ordered said street
be improved as above mentioned and according to the plans, specifi-
c• ations, etc. , under Improvement Resolution Na. 030-1927, and on mo-
tion award the contract for said improvement to Pyle & Ridr_'ev;ay; -ac-
cording to their bid received for said improvement on May 5th, 127.
Geo A. Sauer, was granted permission to . cut the curb on east side of
East .Haven Ave . Lot 4-P. west View, Addition.
. The Richmond City Water Works, agrees for the City to patch National
Road, .i•;est by scarifying the street and putting in necessary stone
roll it and oil it , and charge them for material and labor . of roller
man, but no charge for equipment used. The Street Commissioner was
directed to make said repairs . . •
Shera Coal and Supply Co. , was directed to remove the gasoline & oil
tank in South 6th Street .
The Board approved the Contract & bond of D. G. Burkhardt, contract-
or under Improvement Resolution No. 832-1927.
The Board received letter from G.J .Derbyshire, General Sup1t . , of C.
nv. Ry. Co. , requesting the meeting on South
9th Street

requested is granted.
The Clerk was directed to prepare resolutionimprovement
for of the
following streets by erecting and installing Light Post system as
follows : North 5th Street ; North 6th Street, North 10th, llth and
12th Streets both sides from Main to North "A11 Street ; North. "A"
' Street, from North 5th to 12th Street; South 4th Street, east side

The bid of Mather Bros, being the lowest and best bid received
the Board ward the contract to said Mather Bros, for all coal
bid on.
The Board :received- notice from Public Service Col-mission of Indiana,
that the hearing in .matter of oetition of Indiana. Gas Utilities
Co. , for authority to establish gas rates for industrial, Com-
mercial heatingr Richmond, 7111 be in
