The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday May 16th, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. .All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land, MoFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : • The Board approved a primary assessment roll of benefits & damages under Declaratory Resolution No. 207-1927, for widening the alley between North 7th & 8th Street , f i'om North II0" to IlDU Street . Upon recommendation of Sup ' t. , of Police Eversman, Mr. Hess, was directed to investigate the cause of the traffic signals, stop & go signs being dim, and to report as to how to remedy the same . The Clerk was directed to request Swayne, Robinson & Co. , to bid on price of castings to be furnished the city, as the present price is to high. A resolution in matter of petition for the improvement of South " L" Street, under the Three Mile Road Law, was presented to the Board and the same was ordered presented to the Common Council for their adoption and anroval. The Board received bids under Improvement Resolution No. 32-1927, for the improvement of the alley between South 14th & 15th Street by constructing cement roadway from South "E" to "F" Street, as follows to-wit : " Daniel G. Burkhardt, bid; Cement roadway complete--�p0.21-4 sq-foot , sewer taps-N1. 75 lin-ft . " Pyle and Ridgeway, bid; Cement 'roadway complete- 0.2.3id: sq-ft. Sewer taps-: 2.00, lin-Toot . " Harold Thorpe, bid; Cement roadway complete---$0.2-I- sq-foot , Sewer taps-. 1. 50 lin-ft . The bid •of Daniel G. Burkhardt, being the lowest and within the estimate of the city civil engineer, the contract. was awarded to said Daniel G. Burkhardt.
