Thursday May 12th, 1927.

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday May 12th,
1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members Of said Board, Messrs,
Land, McFall and Henley being present . -The following proceedings
were had, to-wit : "
Permission was granted Alonza i, . Gardner to cut the curb on west side
of College Ave . Lot 10, County Coiii,nissioners, Sub-Div. ,
The Board received co=unication from Wm. Eversman, Chief of Police
requesting .the traffic lights be cleaned and safety zones etc . ,
be marked, referred to Street - Commissioner.
-The Board received communication from T.H. I .& E. Traction Co. , ± -
questing the Board to grant permission to extend their lines & St .
car service in Glen Miller, defining the route to be taken and any
restrictions desired by the Board tO be placed in agreement .
A Committee headed by J. Zwissler_ from South Side Improvement Assn. ,
appeared before the Board requesting that some steps be taken by
the City in matter of bridge in South 9th Street crossing the C. &
0. R.R.tracks, Clerk was directed to request Mr. Derbyshire General
Sup ''t. , of Railroad, to meet with them either "lay 19th or 25rd, . to
discuss matters pertaining to bridge .
The Building Inspector• was instructed to issue a Building Permit to
the Mills-Hoiden Co. , to erect hotel at corner of South 9th & " A"
Streets, provided, said Co . , set back 15 feet on South "A" Street
and 5 feet on South 9th .Street . -
The Board _approved the contract & bond of Daniel G. Burkhardt, con-
- tractor under Improvement" Resolution ISo. 831-1927.
The Board received copy of order of Public Service Commission of
Indiana, in matter of sale of Richmond City Water Works and issue
of securities .
The Board received remonstrance against improvement of South " 0"I
Street, by constructing cement GUrO & ;utt
er, from South nth t0
14th- Street, as petitione for May 9th, v1927.
The Board called a meeting with the Ordinance Committee and Public
Property Committee of Council, to meet this P.M. at 6.30 o 'clock.
Claims in amount of $3801. 74 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
