HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-04-1927 468 Office of Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana, April Monday 4th, 1927. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday April 4th, 1927, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of sa.id Board, Messrs, Land, McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to—wit : • The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 832-1927 for the improvement of the alley between South 14th & 15th Street by constructing cement roadway the full width thereof, from South "E" to " F" Street. The Police Department were instructed to notify property owners or residents on alley between South 2nd & 3rd Street from South "A" to "B" Street , to stop the practice of scattering the trash in said alley. The Board order water main extended in Ridge Street to Stevens - Street . The Clerk was directed to advertise for 300 feet of 2" Rubber Hose, with 2z" couplings standard thread, for use of Street Department; Permission was granted to C. G. Mcahan, to cut curb & walk at 315 Northwest 5th Street for driveway to filling station. Upon the approval of Fire Chief, Building Inspector instructed to grant permit to Arthur Thomas, to construct steel bridge with automatic fire proof doors at each end, from Weiss Furniture Co. , buildings abutting Main Street, across the alley known as Smith Street, to building of said company on south side of 'alley. The Board grant permission to Lee Ridgeway to employe Z.B.Pyle to assis him in improvement of Grant Street , under Resolution No. 814--1926. The Board approved various payrolls to April 1st, 1927.
