The Board of Public Works of the City' of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said _Board Thursday March 31st, 1927, at 9 o ' clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land, MCFail and Henley being present. The folloWing proceedings were had, to-wit :The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. .207-1927, for the :widening of the alley between North 7th &-8th Street, to a width of 15. 5 feet, from North " 0" to "D" Street . Upon the recommendation - of D.C.Hess, Sup 't . , of M. E. L. & P . P . the Board award the contract for furnishing the Light Plant with 25 ton Hand operated " Traveling Crane" to the Northern Engineering Works, of Detroit, Mich, at price of $3735.00 Richmond, Indiana, the same being the lowest bid received on said cranes on March 17th 1927. Mr. Hess, stated the plant had a great deal of hedge ail the plant grounds, which would have to be removed, and requested the Park Department re-plant the same on city 's property along east side of Northwest 1st Street, Mr. Hess, was directed to take this matter go, with Park Sup 't. , The question of extending the street car lines into Glen Miller Park at the north end to the lake, was discussed by the Board & Traction Co. , officials, Upon the advice of City Attorney, it was decided that as the company have no franchise to run into the park, the consent of . Board was granted for such extension, with the understanding if any objection is raised to the lines being in the Park, the Street Car Co. would have to remove the same, until such time as a franchise can be granted, and the Clerk directed to notify the Common Council of the Boards consent to said line. A comhuriication from Black & Veatch Consulting Engineers was read & placed on file . A communication from Walter Scholer,Architect , of LaFayette, Indiana, was received and placed on file.
